JOOUST Shines at the Kenya National Research Festival 2025

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) proudly participated in the Kenya National Research Festival held at Egerton University from 18th to 22nd August 2025. The University showcased three innovative research projects: Sericulture, Use of Insects for Food and Feeds (INSEFOODS), and Integrated Aquaponics.

Following a competitive evaluation, two of JOOUST’s projects emerged top performers:

Sericulture was crowned Best Overall Research.

INSEFOODS was awarded Best Solution for Food and Nutrition Security.

This remarkable achievement reflects the University’s growing impact in advancing research and innovation for sustainable development. It was made possible through the unwavering support of the University Management, led by Prof. Emilly A. Akuno, Vice Chancellor.
